Title
Characterization of fibronectin 1 gene expression in human of undifferentiated and differentiated spermatogonia
Type Presentation
Keywords
Sertoli cells, SSCs
Abstract
One important genital process in the male reproductive system is spermatogenesis. The spermatogonia stem cells in this system play a crucial function ( SSCs) [1]. SSCs are supported by Sertoli cells, peritubular myoid cells, and other somatic cells, and are found in the basement membrane of seminiferous tubules. FN1 (fibronectin 1) is a glycoprotein expressed in plasma, the cell surface, and the extracellular matrix as soluble dimeric or multimeric forms [3]. A mature protein is generated by proteolytically processing the encoded preproprotein. A wide range of processes are affected by fibronectin, including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis.
