One important genital process in the male reproductive
system is spermatogenesis. The spermatogonia stem cells in
this system play a crucial function ( SSCs) [1]. SSCs are
supported by Sertoli cells, peritubular myoid cells, and other
somatic cells, and are found in the basement membrane of
seminiferous tubules. FN1 (fibronectin 1) is a glycoprotein
expressed in plasma, the cell surface, and the extracellular
matrix as soluble dimeric or multimeric forms [3]. A mature
protein is generated by proteolytically processing the
encoded preproprotein. A wide range of processes are
affected by fibronectin, including embryogenesis, wound
healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis.
